FRG is proud to announce that as part of our continued work with the Supply Chain Sustainability School we have signed the People Matter Charter, demonstrating our commitment to treating people responsibly across all our business practices.

Launched in January 2020, the People Matter Charter has been created by the Supply Chain Sustainability School and its delivery partner Action Sustainability to help organisations up and down the supply chain bring people challenges, such as tackling poor diversity practices, improving skills or combatting exploitation and modern slavery, into one workforce strategy.

Caley Priestley, HR Manager, explains why becoming a signatory of the People Matter Charter is important to FRG’s ‘people first’ culture:

As an employer and labour supply business we are employing people and working with organisations who employ people for us. As a result, we have responsibilities associated with people, from recruitment, to development and retention. It is apparent to us that going beyond treating people as a commodity helps us to attract the talent that is out there, and by supporting them to grow we are growing.

By signing the People matter Charter we are demonstrating our commitment to engaging and developing our workforce and are supporting the industry to improve labour standards throughout the supply chain.”

The People Matter Charter has eight commitments that can apply to any organisation, of any size. By signing this Charter, signatories are evidencing their promise to embed the eight commitments into their own organisations and supply chains.

The eight commitments are:
