Black History Month (BHM) takes place in October across the UK and is an opportunity to recognise, celebrate and share the outstanding contributions of the Black community. It’s also a time for reflection and to raise awareness of Black history and heritage. This year’s theme is Time for Change: Action Not Words, encouraging everyone to come together around a shared common goal to achieve a better world for everyone.

FRG founders and directors Edgar Chibaka and Jamal Tahlil, both African immigrants, were named Black British Businesspeople of the Year 2021 by the Black British Business Awards (BBBAs) for their commitment to improving the lives of service industry workers. In this post we celebrate and showcase the contributions of Black British icons and their positive impact on society.
