Director / Co-founder
Jamal is the Chairman & principle Founder of First Response group.
Having started the business in 2007, Jamal has continued to guide its strategy and growth. In more recent years focusing on its acquisitive strategy, including finalising acquisitions of Robinsons M&E Ltd and Apardion Ltd into the FRG Group.
Director / Co-founder
From a background in accountancy, Edgar co-founded FRG with Jamal in 2007.
Edgar has been intrinsic to the growth of the company and plays a leading role in advancing the FRG brand through acquisitions.
He is now Managing Director of Robinsons M&E, one of the UK’s leading full building services, engineering and property maintenance contractors, acquired by the FRG Group in 2018.
Edgar is a Chartered Fellow Manager of the CMI and a member of the CMI Practitioner Panel which reviews, rates and comments of the latest management thought articles.
Chief Executive Officer
Simon has an extensive track record in the Security Industry and joined FRG as CEO early 2018.
His career includes 14 years at VPS where he held numerous leadership roles and Directorships in both the UK and the Netherlands. He has an abundance of senior sales, commercial and strategy leadership skills and a proven track record of transforming organisations and driving business growth.
Simon is excited by the culture of ‘inclusion and happiness’ at FRG which gives the opportunity to bring value to customers by offering not just the most current security technology, but the best levels of service.
Apardion Ltd/FRG Scotland
Derek is the Managing Director of Apardion Ltd, one of Scotland’s leading security and facilities providers, and brings his extensive security industry knowledge to the FRG Group.
Derek’s role is supported by a strong management background along with over 16 years’ experience in a Police operational risk environment, delivering strategy, governance, policies and intelligence. During his Police career he focused on Counter Terrorism and led the Northern Border Policing Command Unit within Police Scotland.
He was also formally a HSSEQ specialist in the oil and gas industry.
FRG Risk Management
James joined FRG in 2018 and has worked in the security industry for over 15 years where he specialises within the risk management and insurance sector.
His skills sit commercially and strategically with a proven record of successfully leading and managing teams.
James has worked over the last 2 years developing key accounts at a senior level which led to a new sector being created within FRG – ‘FRG Risk Management’.
Group Sales Director
With over 30 years’ experience working in the Global construction and manufacturing sectors. An engineer at heart, Andrew has vast expertise in understanding major construction and infrastructure clients’ needs.
He plays a key role in the development of quality solutions aligned to industry standards and client strategies to create new business and grow existing accounts.
Andrew is a motivated leader focused on creating engaged team environments to deliver exceptional client experiences.
Commercial Director / Head of FRG Systems & Technology
As leader of our Systems & Technology division, Troy plays a key role in the development of our products and services ensuring that we offer our customers the best value solutions and latest technology.
Troy provides guidance to the FRG board on our CSR initiatives and supports our culture of inclusion and happiness through workforce engagement.
He is an elected member of the Living Wage Foundation Recognised Service Providers Leadership Group and the SIA Strategy & Standards Group and regularly represents FRG in our endeavours to support the professional development of the Private Security Industry.
Jennie has an extensive and successful track record in senior sales, commercial and strategy leadership.
She brings to FRG Risk Management a diverse skill set, demonstrating strong communication, general management and influencing expertise with the proven ability to consistently deliver.
In her role Jennie champions and advocates the advancement of women in the security industry.
Stuart has been involved in the Security Industry for over 40 years, starting as a uniformed security officer, CVIT Operative, Controller up to Operations Director.
In 2003 Stuart became a consultant providing companies with assistance in achieving SIA Approved Contractor Status, and various ISO accreditations. He first became involved with FRG in 2010 and has supplied continued support to the business in the achievement of the current accreditations and maintaining them.
Stuart has a Diploma in Security Management, a Certificate in Education and a degree in Education and Professional Development, Stuart has also been Chairman of the International Professional Security Association and is a Fellow of the Security Institute.
Head of Marketing & Communication
Amy has over 15 years’ experience working in marketing and corporate communications across a wide range of consumer and B2B industries.
She joined FRG in 2018 and is responsible for developing and implementing dynamic marketing and communications strategies to support our corporate objectives and future growth plans.
Amy is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (MCIPR) and holds a BA(Hons) degree in Fine Art from Wimbledon School of Art.
Head of Finance
Mark has extensive experience managing finance offices over the past 20 years in diverse sectors including Telecoms, Contact Centre Payment Security and the Exhibition / Conference industries.
He leads the FRG finance team and enjoys bridging the gap between fulfilling the statutory requirements for any SME while simultaneously translating this to commercial relevant information, allowing prompt and informed decisions to be made.
Head of Operations
Mike has been working in the security industry since college and has vast experience and expertise in Operations and Key Account management.
As Head of Operations he is responsible for the performance, delivery and compliance of FRG’s operation nationally. Mike is leading the digital transformation at FRG and has been heavily involved in the implementation of new software and processes to improve delivery and ensure compliance in line with FRG’s NSI Gold accreditations.
Mike is a member of the Security Institute and the Institute of Strategic Risk Management and holds a degree in Security and Risk Management from the University of Leicester.
Head of FM
Luke has almost two decades of experience working within customer facing roles, most recently in facilities management, and has both an operational and business development background in the private security sector.
He manages a diverse portfolio of key FRG customers, working closely with their teams as an essential support function for their business.
Luke’s goal with every customer is to develop new and innovative solutions to help protect what is important to them in a reactive, streamlined and cost effective manner.
Since 2016 Caley has been managing our people.
With over 10 years’ experience in the field of HR she is skilled in all areas of employee relations including absence management, recruitment, on-boarding and performance management.
Caley’s people strategy is centred around employee engagement and staff development and she enjoys seeing the rewards that brings to FRG.
Angela joined FRG in 2012 after 27 years working in recruitment management.
She primarily manages FRG’s Construction, Infrastructure and Utilities contracts and is happiest when out on site in her hard hat and steel toe caps solving her clients’ security, facilities and compliance issues with exceptional service levels.
Angela lives locally to our Leeds head office and is a mother to her two amazing boys.
Business Development Manager
Carl has over 10 years’ sales experience working in a technical sales environment, prominently within the security, access control and fire protection industries.
As part of FRG’s dynamic sales team his responsibilities are to understand our clients’ site specific requirements and provide a viable solution that meets their needs efficiently and cost effectively.
Carl also identifies new business and security framework opportunities with major construction companies.
Business Development Manager
With a background in cleaning and FM operations and management, Claire has over 10 years’ experience working in the security industry specialising in guarding and CCTV solutions.
Her role focuses on developing FRG’s growing Corporate sector client base, offering innovative total solutions packages that deliver consistent first class service, value and peace of mind.
Claire enjoys working in such a fast paced industry and is always keen to stay up to date with the latest security and FM innovations.
From a background in vacant property security solutions, Michael joined FRG in 2018 and has over 20years experience in the security and FM industry.
He is responsible for heading our FM Operations team, managing all facilities and building management projects and ensuring a high standards of service delivery to all our clients.
Michael is very excited to be playing a vital role in one of our fastest growing and diverse divisions.
Adam began his security career in 2008 and has a wealth of operations management experience with a strong systems and technology focus.
His role consists of managing operations for the FRG portfolio in the Southern region, ensuring a strong and trustworthy relationship with our clients and our Security Officers – all of whom he knows by name.
Since joining FRG Adam has have seen extremely fast growth in the South and he looks forward to the next steps developing the region further.
Vicky began working in the world of security 25 years ago after leaving the Armed Forces. She has a wealth of security management experience across a wide range of sectors, including Aviation and Pharma, and is a Certificate of Further Education Teaching Trainer in Conflict Management, Manned Guarding, Door Supervision and CCTV operation.
As Operations Manager she is responsible for FRG contracts in the North East region, ensuring client satisfaction, staff welfare and engagement.
Vicky was an early advocate of the Women in Security Employment and draws on her industry experience to support our security officers working in the field.
Adam is a dedicated and highly professional Operations Manager, with an extensive background in the Cleaning , Security & Rail industries.
He is responsible for mobilising, supporting and managing the day to day operations for FRG contracts in the North West. His role is key to maintaining positive client relationships and ensuring all sites are working in line with service level agreements.
Adam is committed to complying with corporate and legislative requirements and delivering service of an exceptionally high standard.
With a background in accountancy, Sonya joined FRG in 2010 and has helped the business grow from a small regional team to a nationally recognised Security and FM solutions company.
Her role covers the full spectrum of office management responsibilities including running our invoicing and purchase ledgers to ensure positive relationships with our clients and suppliers.
Abdikadir Yusuf Mahamed
Abdi has a background in ISP systems administration and joined FRG in 2015, initially in an Engineer and IT support function.
In his role as IT Manager he is now responsible for the upkeep and configuration of our computer systems, servers, performance and cyber security. Luckily for FRG one of Abdi’s hobbies is troubleshooting computer problems!
Abdi has a diploma in System Administration and is a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
John FRG in 2018 and has experience of all aspects of HR and extensive knowledge of industry compliance procedures.
He works to ensure that we FRG are audit ready and strives to offer best service to colleagues, clients, and customers so that all have a positive experience when engaging with FRG and achieve desired outcomes for all.
Danielle joined FRG in August 2019. Since starting her career in the professional services (accountancy) she has developed a vast array of skills.
She is highly customer-focused with admirable interpersonal skills and is well versed in all aspects of operational administration.
Danielle brings enthusiasm and care to the Helpdesk team and is on hand to support our clients daily.
Georgina is the most recent addition to the FRG People team, joining us in December 2020 and has over 2 years background in HR with key experience in HR administration, support, and recruitment.
She has a degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Leeds and is a CIPD Associate.
Georgina’s ambition is to grow with FRG and support the Company with delivering our people strategy and HR mission.
